A life that speaks unto eternity!

Heb11.13: All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.

Why can’t I stop the tears?! Life here is so painful anyway! Why should I be mourning when I know a brother’s life of pain and anguish has finally ended and God has opened the door of a joyful eternity for him to enter?
It was just 2 nights ago I had worshipped with my hubby while we were reminiscent of a life well spent. We had just watched the “Jesus Film” and all the memories started gushing out; Hemense Hwande would never be forgotten in this life. Once in a while, I have those moments of remembering times with him on missionary outings and youth group functions.
He never even lived to meet the age of facebook, twitter or the common social media forums we now have, yet the memory of that young man is a challenge to my daily walk. With his life style, he wrote posts that would never be erased!
I wept as I shared with husby all over again about this brother of mine. Back then in our youth group, Hemense was the most available brother ever! Anytime, anywhere and anyhow you beckoned on him, he would be more than willing to help! My question to husby was: “how could anyone be that available?! How could this brother have lived so briefly and yet impacted my life so much that 9 years after he slept, I still shed tears while remembering his life?! I am yet to meet someone that gifted and versatile in skills.
Music(singing and playing of many instruments) , electronics, computers, networking, mechanical work, evangelism farm work too! Gosh! You wouldn’t understand! I still don’t!
While out in the fields, we were shared into groups yet this brother of mine was functional in all the groups. Either as generator/car mechanic, troubleshooter of the projector or the errand boy for when any group in the team needed something far away in town!
During my wedding I remember how I and my elder sister shed tears. We kept saying ;if only Hemense was here!

I didn’t know God was preparing my heart for another loss that would be heaven’s gain.
Chike was just always there as a friend! At times I wondered when he did his school work as an architect! He was available to give counsel,”gist” and just sit and hear you out! I remember that sit outside the LT 1 and 2. In front of School of Environmental.
This is one young man who met Jesus and had become stuck! Always encouraging most of us when our hearts were discouraged! I can still remember the night he shared his salvation story with me!
The years went by and the next time we talked it could only be via the phone. We shared how much we wished to see each other physically again. But life doesn’t give us those privileges most at times.
Moral:
1.Live your life like you would never have the opportunity called “now”!
2. Don’t put off till tomorrow, what can be done for another, even if it costs more! The opportunity cost is just too high! People are the best investment grounds ever!
3. You are yet to exhaust your inbuilt capacity! You actually are capable of more than you can realize! God has put some degree of elasticity in each of us.
4. Both of my brothers above won’t read what I have written on this side of eternity but what they wrote on my heart can never be erased! They live in my heart, though dead and gone!
5. The “Acts of the Apostles ” continues with us! Generations after us will seek within our life-stories to find strength, light and models. If Jesus tarries His return.
6. Don’t seek value within the world’s estimation! Live such a life that this world would not be worthy of you! Heb 11:38
7. In the face of all that is happening in the world as pertaining to human leadership and conflicts, do you really think the problem is with our leaders or with us?!
Think of it, many have departed this earth through varying deaths; accidents, bomb blasts, illness and some even old age; it’s not how long, it’s how well and for me I know this to be true : Life is unfair if The Cross is not part of your life equation! At the foot of the cross, all things add up well!
Do not fall for the standard of the “world system”. The world and it’s expectations would only frustrate your efforts; seek out the purpose of God for your life per season and pursue it! While at it; Don’t look back! Set your face like a flint!

Ignore not the skill of your enemy!

2 Corinthians 2:11 After all, we don’t want to unwittingly give satan an opening for yet more mischief-we’re not oblivious to his sly ways (The Message)

Most of us have become too familiar and at home with the enemy of our soul. His enmity is hardly with your now!He is out to deny you of an eternal future rather than the here. He does not mind you having it all here!So many choose to live as if the devil does not even exist. For some it is just an arrogance towards the wrong enemy: The devil! Being arrogant towards the devil doesn’t make him less powerful. It is a recognition of his potency that should provoke our need for a Savior. We engage in things that are clearly traps and pitfalls set by the enemy. We ignore the tug of The Spirit upon our hearts, calling us to flee. We assume a capacity that is impossible because of our flesh is weakened by the fall. Jesus sets us free that we might be never bound again. Yet we submit ourselves willfully to vices that are clearly destructive and yet still look far in search of the reasons for our distress.
It might be that very attractive porn website, a not too pure chat with that anonymous person that you are sure no one will ever know about! (God already knows my dear), just few minutes of a visit to the “right person” for the wrong motives, a show of gratitude that clearly depicts a bribe for future desired favors, “gisting” or chats that gradually becomes gossip of another, a snobbish attitude that becomes malice, a white lie( told with “good” motives) and all that starts with a feel of “just a little sin”
Name it and am sure you might give your personal justification!
Will God buy it? Sodom and Gomorrah never had possession of bibles, yet from them God expected right living. We have the scriptures and The indwelling of The Spirit. We have many ministries out there to help us with wrong addictions. Yet we choose to lie and find rest on wrong plains.
Remember that Eve only needed only a bite of the fruit, for it to be rebellion!!

Flee brethren! While you can!Run to Jesus while you can! The time is now! Not later! NOW!
Give the devil and inch,he insists for more than a mile! Remember his goal is not your pleasure but your destruction!

Get up and run for life!

What Really motivates you?

None of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
—Acts 20:24

I and husby where just pondering over the real essence and purpose of this life.
Is it really just about a good job, quality education, great kids and all?!
Are these the reasons for which we would want to see tomorrow? But then many people who were more excellent at these things still lived and died unfulfilled!
So we came to a focus and this key word stood above others : PURPOSE!
What is your life purpose? If you have discovered it then don’t be put down by anything! If you fall, get back on your feet and keep going! If you haven’t discovered it,then it’s time to seek His face! It’s discovery is what will keep you going even when life looks blank and meaningless!
Get your set goal and run with it!
You can only be a winner at your own game, then it won’t be a competition! You would be running to arrive at your own destiny’s door and not at another’s .
Be determined to finish your own race! Run because you’re alive to do just that! Run your own race! Find out your track and get going, even when you fall, get back on your feet and give it another push! This way, when you die, you would have been doing your best, at your best! Then joy would be a reality when death knocks on your door! Then death’s sting would rather be a blanket and not a pain!
The best race is this: A race ran to live and die testifying of He (Jesus) who loved us enough to give up the glories of heaven and finish His course through a painful death! Testifying of how He overcame death and rose to give anyone who comes ,a second chance at life! Jesus whose 3 days in the grave made the difference required for our freedom and liberty! Which other purpose is worth embracing?
This is the race that has you never disqualified! It is the only race that keeps true eternal joy stirring deep within the depths of your heart even when life seems unfair! This is the course that remains the most glorious venture! Look back no longer! Only if that provokes thanksgiving! Get your eyes fixed on the future and all it holds! Men have died for many reasons, to me this is the most attractive : That He might increase and I might decrease!

Choose to Stand in the gap!

Then I said, “They should also place a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean priestly turban on his head and dressed him in new clothes while the angel of the lord stood by. Zechariah 3: 1-5

It’s such an amazing and awesome discovery  that I can actually be more. God actually has room to receive more from me. More in terms of groundbreaking prayers for others. I can actually ask Him to do more for a fellow brother or sister out there.

The normal reaction is always to accuse and complain about people’s faults. O what a talent we all have at stating how evil or sinful others have been! To who’s pleasure? The enemy of cause! He likes that job well and is even happier when we help him with a little of it.

I see here a clear case of choosing to stand by others. Hear the prophet: “why not put a turban on his head also?” Hmmmmm…… And so was it done! God actually listens when we ask Him to add value to the lives of others! He actually can go the extra mile for just the sake that I chose to ask! So why not ask? Why the accusations? Stand in the gap on behalf of that brother/sister who has become lukewarm and don’t help the enemy in raising accusations!

Hey! It’s enough for the enemy to put rags on people with sin, don’t make the job messier with your own set of articulated mud slinging! Embrace the fallen one and help him stand again! Join hands with The Lord and bring more light to a soul that backsliding is it’s lot! Reach out to him/her, physically or in the place of prayer! Ask God to do more of His cleansing work on that soul! Let Him rejuvenate and revitalise the weakened and fallen soul!

May we not become fellow “accusers of the brethren “, just out to state people’s faults and then do nothing about helping them!

That person you claim you know everything about, can return if only you choose to stand for him/her, rather than add coals of fire on his/her head! To whose profit will you keep spending energy and words in emphasizing another’s weaknesses?

Yet God is ready to listen to you and put a turban on your brother’s/sister’s head; only if you are ready to take a step further step beyond the knowledge of his/her fallen state and only ask!

Ask! Sister, brother…I encourage you – dare to ask for more! Image
