A life that speaks unto eternity!

Heb11.13: All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.

Why can’t I stop the tears?! Life here is so painful anyway! Why should I be mourning when I know a brother’s life of pain and anguish has finally ended and God has opened the door of a joyful eternity for him to enter?
It was just 2 nights ago I had worshipped with my hubby while we were reminiscent of a life well spent. We had just watched the “Jesus Film” and all the memories started gushing out; Hemense Hwande would never be forgotten in this life. Once in a while, I have those moments of remembering times with him on missionary outings and youth group functions.
He never even lived to meet the age of facebook, twitter or the common social media forums we now have, yet the memory of that young man is a challenge to my daily walk. With his life style, he wrote posts that would never be erased!
I wept as I shared with husby all over again about this brother of mine. Back then in our youth group, Hemense was the most available brother ever! Anytime, anywhere and anyhow you beckoned on him, he would be more than willing to help! My question to husby was: “how could anyone be that available?! How could this brother have lived so briefly and yet impacted my life so much that 9 years after he slept, I still shed tears while remembering his life?! I am yet to meet someone that gifted and versatile in skills.
Music(singing and playing of many instruments) , electronics, computers, networking, mechanical work, evangelism farm work too! Gosh! You wouldn’t understand! I still don’t!
While out in the fields, we were shared into groups yet this brother of mine was functional in all the groups. Either as generator/car mechanic, troubleshooter of the projector or the errand boy for when any group in the team needed something far away in town!
During my wedding I remember how I and my elder sister shed tears. We kept saying ;if only Hemense was here!

I didn’t know God was preparing my heart for another loss that would be heaven’s gain.
Chike was just always there as a friend! At times I wondered when he did his school work as an architect! He was available to give counsel,”gist” and just sit and hear you out! I remember that sit outside the LT 1 and 2. In front of School of Environmental.
This is one young man who met Jesus and had become stuck! Always encouraging most of us when our hearts were discouraged! I can still remember the night he shared his salvation story with me!
The years went by and the next time we talked it could only be via the phone. We shared how much we wished to see each other physically again. But life doesn’t give us those privileges most at times.
Moral:
1.Live your life like you would never have the opportunity called “now”!
2. Don’t put off till tomorrow, what can be done for another, even if it costs more! The opportunity cost is just too high! People are the best investment grounds ever!
3. You are yet to exhaust your inbuilt capacity! You actually are capable of more than you can realize! God has put some degree of elasticity in each of us.
4. Both of my brothers above won’t read what I have written on this side of eternity but what they wrote on my heart can never be erased! They live in my heart, though dead and gone!
5. The “Acts of the Apostles ” continues with us! Generations after us will seek within our life-stories to find strength, light and models. If Jesus tarries His return.
6. Don’t seek value within the world’s estimation! Live such a life that this world would not be worthy of you! Heb 11:38
7. In the face of all that is happening in the world as pertaining to human leadership and conflicts, do you really think the problem is with our leaders or with us?!
Think of it, many have departed this earth through varying deaths; accidents, bomb blasts, illness and some even old age; it’s not how long, it’s how well and for me I know this to be true : Life is unfair if The Cross is not part of your life equation! At the foot of the cross, all things add up well!
Do not fall for the standard of the “world system”. The world and it’s expectations would only frustrate your efforts; seek out the purpose of God for your life per season and pursue it! While at it; Don’t look back! Set your face like a flint!
